Team India would begin its campaign in Australia as they take on the hosts in the 1st ODI at the Sydney Cricket Ground. It’s a 3-match series and the side taking the early lead shall have the edge. This will be the first appearance for the Indian side in an international game since February. It will be interesting to see how they get into the grove. They have been hit by few injuries which will be worrying for the side.
Indians have always struggled in Sydney and in the 16 games that they have played here the side has managed to win only twice. It will be a big mental obstacle for the side which Kohli and his men would look to overcome. Australia is back in full strength and shall fancy their chances in home conditions. Given the kind of aggressive cricket both the sides play we expect this to be a good contest between to begin the long summer.
Australia vs India Dream11 Preview
Aaron Finch would be confident about his side’s prospects in this game. They had defeated England in the ODIs on their last tour. The side would be looking to continue with the same kind of form. They have some problems with their batting but the bowling attack looks in great shape. Finch would look to extend his side’s good record at the SCG by winning this game and taking an early lead in the series.
Openers David Warner and Aaron Finch looked good in the IPL. They will look to provide the side with a good start here. Steven Smith’s return to the team is a huge confidence booster. He will look to hold the middle order alongside Marnus Labuschagne and Marcus Stoinis. In Glenn Maxwell and Alex Carey the side has good hitters of the ball down the order as they had proved in England.
Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood would be raring to have a go at the Indians after their poor show during India’s last tour. Pat Cummins as the first change has done well in recent times and shall be tough for Indian batsmen. In Adam Zampa and Maxwell they have good spinners who will be looking to exploit the conditions here and bring down the scoring rate in the middle overs.

Sydney Cricket Ground is one of the largest venues in the world where scoring boundaries is a challenge. But the size of the venue also offers plenty of twos and threes to the batsmen. Those willing to play a long innings have done well here. Fast bowlers do get their early rewards from the surface.
